Once approved (starting Saturday around 9), you can click here to login. Once you are in the portal, hover over the “Class Info” tab which will pull down a drop down box. Click “Class Registration” and you will be taken to the screen to register.
Semester Length: Our semester runs for 12 weeks (14 for Theater, Dance, and Music and Motion when you account for additional rehearsal and tech week). We operate on a 3 week on, 1 week off schedule.

Early Bird Registration: Early Bird Registration will be open from December 10–20. After this period, the price of each class will increase by $15. Please note that payment is not required during the Early Bird window—only your registration must be completed to lock in the discounted rate.
Style of Program: LHAS is an enrichment based drop-off program, designed to foster independence and engagement in a structured, student-centered environment. While we do offer a small lobby space for parents who wish to wait onsite, we kindly ask that all adults remain outside the classrooms to minimize distractions and maintain a focused learning space.

Program Registration Fee: There is a $30 program registration fee per child, per semester. This will be manually billed to each family’s account at the start of the semester. This helps us cover some of our technology fee, cleaning fees, basic materials, and incidentals incurred by our group. This fee is non-refundable.
Showcase Fee: There is a $30 Showcase fee for Theater, Dance, and Music related classes that participate in the end of semester showcase.
Class Tuition: Each class has an associated tuition. This fee covers the class for the semester. You can find that below in the course descriptions below.

Parent Packet and Statement of Faith: All families will need to sign a Parent Packet stating that they understand the expectations at LHAS. This as well as the Statement of Faith will be emailed in the next few weeks as well as be available at the parent meeting for signing. At Little House of Arts and Smarts, our mission is rooted in Christian values, and we strive to create an environment that reflects our faith in both word and action. As part of our enrollment process, we ask families to read and sign our Statement of Faith.

Course Descriptions
ARTS
Dance (ages 4-6, 7-10, and 11+)
LHAS Dance introduces young dancers to the joy of movement through an exciting blend of dance styles—including jazz, ballet, hip hop, and creative movement. This high-energy class focuses on rhythm, coordination, and self-expression while building confidence and body awareness. Dancers will explore a variety of fun techniques in a playful, encouraging environment, all set to age-appropriate music that inspires imagination and creativity.

Art Made Merry (ages 7-10 and 11-14)
Let's explore the world of art together in a merry way! In this vibrant art class, children will explore a variety of artistic mediums, including drawing, painting, printmaking, and collage. Throughout the semester students will dive into new materials and techniques, developing their creativity and self-expression through hands-on projects. Kids will gain confidence in their artistic abilities while experimenting with color, texture, and artist study. This class offers a wonderful opportunity for kids to discover different ways of creating and to develop a love for art that is uniquely their own.

Theater (ages 7-10 and 10-15)
In this 13-week Christian-based theater class, children will explore the world of drama while deepening their understanding of faith and storytelling. Students will learn essential acting techniques, including voice projection, character development, and stage presence, all within a nurturing environment that encourages creativity and teamwork.
Through games, skits, and interactive exercises, students will build confidence and grow in their ability to communicate, collaborate, and express themselves. The program will culminate in a final showcase performance, allowing young actors to share their talent, faith, and hard work with family and friends. Perfect for beginners and seasoned performers alike, this class is a fun and faith-filled way to experience the art of theater! This semester’s performance opportunities are still TBD.

SMARTS
Culture Quest (ages 9+)
Embark on an exciting journey around the world in Culture Quest! In this hands-on geography and culture class, students ages 9+ will explore continents, countries, and cultures through interactive lessons, creative projects, games, crafts, music, and even food. Along the way, they’ll build map skills, discover famous landmarks, and gain a deeper understanding of the diverse people and traditions that make up our world. From passport challenges to cultural celebrations, Culture Quest turns global learning into an unforgettable adventure—helping students grow in curiosity, appreciation, and respect for the world God created.

Middle School English/ Language Arts (6th -8th grade) ****LHAS’ first comprehensive course****
PREREQUISITE: ELA Semester I
This English/Language Arts class is comprehensive in its scope and sequence of study. Students will engage in Literature Unit Studies focusing on appropriate age and grade level reading comprehension assessed through verbal, typed, and written response. Instruction will be given in Writing/Composition; students will learn about various writing demands and strategies and will respond through assignments designed to demonstrate students’ understanding. A systematic Grammar study will be used to enhance the overall mastery of English/Language Arts concepts.
Important things to note:
This class requires a placement exam before the first class. Within a few days of signing up, you will receive information on available options for this exam.
Please note that although price reflects a semester rate, this class is designed to be a one year course commitment.
Class will meet Mondays in person 10:45 - 12:15 and Thursdays online 11am-12:30pm.
This class will meet (online only) on LHAS’ off week. This will be Monday AND Thursday from 11am-12:30pm on 2/16 & 19, 3/16 &19, and 4/13 &16.
Students should expect to spend approximately 3-5 additional hours on work outside of class.
Additional literature and materials will need to be purchased.
Students will need access to printers.
Due to the online nature of this class, students need a strong internet connection.

Little Learners (ages 4-7)
Introducing the Little House of Arts and Smarts Little Learners class, a specially designed educational experience for children aged 4 to 7. This once-a-week course focuses on fostering whole child development through developmentally appropriate practices, a center-based learning environment, and an emphasis on early literacy skills.
Key Features:
Developmentally Appropriate Practices: Tailored to the unique developmental stages of children within this age range, our program supports individual growth in cognitive, social, emotional, and physical areas. Each activity is crafted to be engaging and suitable for their growing abilities.
Center-Based Learning: The program features multiple learning centers, including art, science, math, and literacy. These centers encourage children to explore their interests at their own pace, promoting self-directed learning and discovery within a supportive framework.
Early Reading Skills: We prioritize setting a strong foundation for reading through interactive and engaging activities. Our approach includes both phonics and storytelling sessions that are designed to build foundational reading skills and foster a love for literature.
Course Structure: The Little Learners Program meets every Monday 9:30 AM to 12 PM. The day is structured to include various thematic learning centers, group activities, and individual exploration times, allowing children to learn at their own pace in a structured yet flexible environment.

Science Lab (ages 7-11 and 11-15)
Get ready to explore, experiment, and ignite your curiosity! Science Lab is an enrichment-based science class where students dive into exciting, hands-on course to discover the fascinating world of astronomy.
Students will learn to think like astronomers as they explore topics such as gravity, light and optics, planetary science, etc. Each class includes inquiry-based activities and simple lab investigations
This course is designed to ignite wonder while building foundational STEM skills, encouraging critical thinking, observation, and problem-solving. Perfect for students who love hands-on science, space exploration, and discovering how God’s incredible universe works.

Building Voices (ages 7-10)
Building Voices is an engaging language arts class designed to help young writers discover the power of their words. During the first few weeks, students will explore foundational skills such as clear sentence construction and strong paragraph structure. They will read age-appropriate persuasive excerpts in class, discuss techniques authors use to convince their audience, and practice recognizing effective arguments.
As the semester progresses, students will learn to craft their own multi-paragraph persuasive writing. Through guided practice, collaborative activities, and imaginative prompts, they will develop confidence in expressing opinions, supporting ideas with reasons, and organizing thoughts coherently.
The semester will conclude with a final project where each student chooses how to showcase their persuasive skills—through a speech, skit, commercial, or written essay. This culminating activity allows them to share their unique voice in a creative and meaningful way.
Weekly homework assignments should be expected and are designed to reinforce class instruction, encourage regular writing practice, and help students steadily grow as persuasive communicators.
